About Citrine
Citrine is a piece of sunshine crystallized, a quartz that has been kissed by iron and heated by the Earth until it glows with hues of gold, amber and honey. Natural citrine forms when amethyst or smoky quartz is transformed by geological heat, turning purple shadows into golden light. Its luminous body seems to hold the warmth of long summer afternoons and the steady energy of ripening wheat fields. Citrine encourages you to let your own inner fire burn brightly, to illuminate your path with confidence and to remember that abundance is a state of mind as much as a state of being.

Mohs Hardness
Citrine, a variety of quartz, rates 7 on the Mohs scale:contentReference[oaicite:5]{index=5}, making it suitable for everyday wear yet still requiring care.
Handling: Resistant to scratches but can fracture with sharp blows or extreme temperature changes. Avoid hydrofluoric acid, ammonium fluoride and strong alkalis.

How to Use
Citrine is durable but can be damaged by sudden thermal shocks or harsh chemicals. Normal water and mild soap are safe for cleaning.
- Avoid abrupt temperature changes which may cause fracturing
- Do not expose to hydrofluoric acid, ammonium fluoride or strong alkalis
- Limit prolonged sunlight or heat exposure to prevent colour fading
- Safe for water cleansing but dry thoroughly afterwards
Care & Cleansing
Brief WaterRecommended
Cleanses quartz safely and removes energetic residue
Brief exposure recharges its warmth, but prolonged light may fade colour
Balances fiery energy with calm and restores harmony
Purifies energetically without moisture or chemicals
Avoid
Strong acids and alkalis can etch quartz and degrade colour
Storage
Store citrine in a soft pouch away from harder stones and direct heat sources. Avoid leaving it on windowsills or dashboards.
Safety
Fracture Risk
mediumRapid heating or cooling can crack citrine. Keep it away from extreme temperature changes.
Acid and Alkali Damage
mediumHydrofluoric acid, ammonium fluoride and strong alkalis can corrode citrine’s surface.
Citrine is safe for external use only. It should not be ingested or used to make gem elixirs with acidic or alkaline solutions.
