    About Garnet

Garnet is fire and earth in crystalline harmony, a family of minerals that glow like pomegranate seeds embedded in volcanic rock. Formed when intense heat and pressure squeeze silicate minerals into dodecahedral gems, garnets range from wine red to forest green, golden amber and rich chocolate. They have been worn as amulets since antiquity, believed to light up the wearer’s life like glowing coals in a hearth. Garnet teaches that passion must be tempered by steadiness; it invites you to tap into your inner heat while keeping your feet firmly planted on the ground.

    How to Use

Garnets are hardy but susceptible to chipping under force and to acid etching. Treat them with respect.

    • Avoid sharp impacts or dropping which can chip facets
    • Do not expose to hydrofluoric acid; garnet can be etched
    • Safe for water cleansing; dry thoroughly
    • Store separately to prevent scratching softer stones

    Avoid

    Chemical Cleaners

Harsh acids (e.g., hydrofluoric) can damage the stone

    Storage

Wrap garnet jewellery in soft cloth and store separately from harder gems to prevent scratching.

    Safety

    Chip Risk

    medium

A sharp blow can chip a garnet. Handle with care.

    Acid Etching

    low

Strong acids can damage garnet’s surface. Avoid harsh chemicals.

Garnet is safe for external use. It should not be ingested or used in acidic solutions.
